Admission Policy Notre Dame College Prep admits students of any sex, color, race, ethnic origin or religious affiliation to its summer school program.
2025 SUMMER SCHOOL SCHEDULE Session #1 – Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 27 (No school on June 19)
Session #2 – Monday, July 7 – Thursday, July 24
Classes are offered during two sessions, Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 27 and Monday, July 7 through Thursday, July 24. Each session is equivalent to one semester during the regular school year. Students can register for a class during one or two sessions, but only one class per session. Information concerning course content, appropriate grade level and credit is available under Course Descriptions.
2025 Summer School Calendar
Tuition and Fees
If paying by cash, check, or money order, tuition is $450.00 per class (each session). Please direct all payments to the NDCP Business Office, Attn: Jody Zanon. Payment may be mailed, dropped off in the Business Office mail slot desk located to the left of the front desk or placed in the dropbox located on the far left door at the Main Entrance to the school. If paying with a credit card online at www.nddons.org there is a 3% processing fee added by the credit card company, so the total is $465.00 per class (each session). Books, lab fees or other supplies are not included in the tuition cost.
Attendance Policy
Each session is equivalent to one entire semester during the regular school year, so students must attend every day school is in session. One class is equivalent to missing one week or more during the regular school year. Therefore, if a student is absent more than one (1) day he will be dropped from the course and will not receive credit for the course. The tuition will not be refunded.
Expectations of Students
Students are expected to conduct themselves according to the highest personal integrity and accountability standards. Students are expected to assume full responsibility for their work and resist any behavior that would conflict with Notre Dame’s Honor Code, Code of Academic Integrity and the rules and regulations outlined in the Student Handbook. Students and their parents can access Notre Dame’s Student Handbook. Students are expected to respect Notre Dame’s rules regarding personal appearance and dress code during summer school. Any student dressed inappropriately will be asked to go home and change. Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere on the campus of Notre Dame. Students dismissed for disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund of their tuition.
Transportation
No school bus service is available. Notre Dame is easily reached by public transportation (CTA or PACE bus services). Contact the CTA regarding route options, including the #270 Milwaukee Avenue, #423 Linden-Glen-Harlem Route, #250 Dempster Street, Pulse Milwaukee Line, and the #411/412 Niles Free Bus. A large parking lot is available for students driving to school.
Refund Policy
If a summer school class is canceled, the student will receive a full tuition refund. No refund for withdrawal will be issued after the first day of each session. No refund will be given to students who are dropped for non-attendance, disciplinary action, or withdrawal after a class has begun.
Registration Procedure
Students will be assigned to classes in the order in which their tuition is received. Please note that class sizes are limited and will be filled in the order in which tuition is received. Notre Dame College Prep reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrollment or for any other reason.
Payment of tuition (check or online) for Session #1 is due by June 9. For Session #2, tuition is due by July 7.
Students should consult their counselor regarding their summer school selection(s).
Fine Arts
Fine Arts Appreciation
Grades 10, 11,12
Credit: 0.50
One Semester
This survey course is intended to enhance the appreciation and understanding of music, art, and drama in the diverse world around us. Students will be exposed to the lives and cultures of some of the great artists, playwrights, composers, and musicians of the past and present, as well as their influential works, focusing on analyzing the messages within the art itself. Students will be asked to experience and harness the power of creativity and self-expression through fine arts performance, critiquing others' work, and exploring career opportunities available.
Physical Education
Health Grade: 10 Credit: 0.50 One Semester
Physical Education II
Grades 10
This is a one-semester sophomore-level course in Physical Education. The activity units studied and applied include badminton, bowling, pickleball, golf, physical fitness, and weight lifting.
Religious Studies
Religion: The Disciples - Credit Recovery
Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
This course will examine both the historical and theological impact of the first disciples of Jesus on the religion of Christianity. This is an online course. Students and parents will meet for a mandatory orientation session on Monday June 9 at 8:30 a.m. All exams will be completed at ND.
Social Studies
Civics
Grades 10, 11, 12
This course is designed to educate students on the American government's foundations, processes and contemporary issues. Our studies will help students acquire and learn to use the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that will prepare them to be competent and responsible citizens. The course will address government institutions, discuss current and controversial issues and include service learning and simulations of the democratic process.

Technology
Digital Literacy
Credits: 0.50
Digital Literacy is a course designed to provide students with the technical skills necessary to be successful digital students at ND. Students will learn how to navigate the iPad, complete digital assignments, and collaborate with others using Google tools. Digital citizenship and research skills are also covered. It is recommended that this course be taken during a student's freshman year.
