We launched the Belonging and Engagement Fund for students who have an urgent need for temporary financial assistance that may prevent them from continuing their degree program. Award preference is given to students who demonstrate leadership in the promotion of inclusiveness and a sense of belonging at UMKC.
The Divine Gardens on the UMKC Volker campus has been designed to honor and recognize the nine black Greek organizations, known as the Divine Nine. These gardens will represent those Greek organizations that have a presence on the UMKC campus, symbolically and physically. The Divine Gardens serves as a gathering place for alumni and current students to come together, celebrate, meet and reflect. The Divine 9 Gardens fund will assist in purchasing benches, plants and other memorial items for the Gardens.
The Black Alumni Alliance (BAA) was conceived as an organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating the engagement of Black alumni, sharing professional resources, and aiding the University of Missouri-Kansas City in the recruitment, retention and support of Black students at UMKC. For your donation totaling $50 or more per year to funds that support the mission and projects of the UMKCBAA, you will be a Contributing Member of the UMKCBAA.
Your gift will support our talented students, academic achievement, foster research and elevate intellectual pursuits at the UMKC.
