STOP: Did you graduate in 2023? Email alumni@dominican.edu and request your benefits sticker be sent through the mail. Each graduating class gets two free years of benefits.

With a valid Alumni Benefits Card, Dominican University of California alumni are entitled to certain privileges on campus. These privileges have certain specifications and some limitations, which are clarified below. Benefits Cards are given free to each alumna/us following his/her graduation date and are valid for one year only. To receive the Benefits Card for free, graduates must update their alumni information online within one year of graduating. After the first year, the cost of the Benefits Card is $30 per year (year begins in the month the card is issued).

Conlan Recreation Center
Alumni receive discounted membership for the use of the Conlan Recreation Center. Please see the membership form for more information. 

Alemany Library
Alumni Benefits Cardholders are entitled to borrowing privileges at the Archbishop Alemany Library. Please note, however, inter-library loan services are available only to students. Online resources can be accessed only at the library, not off-site.

Audit a Class

• Alumni may audit one class per semester for free with the consent of the instructor.
• Alumni must first obtain consent of the instructor and then present card upon registration.
• Normal registration times and any applicable class fees (not registration fees) apply to alumni.
• If a class is full with regular students, auditing students will be put on waiting lists and admitted in the event of a cancellation. Class size may not exceed maximum enrollment.
• At this time, the Registrar's Office does not keep records of audited classes unless the auditor requests notation on his/her record.

How to Audit a Class

• Use a registration form obtained from the Office of the Registrar or leaflet dispensers in Bertrand Hall. No advisor signature required, BUT instructor signature is required.
• Alumni can register as early as one week before classes start, not anytime during open registration.
• NOTE: Auditors are not admitted to nursing courses or courses that require personal instruction and/or individual participation, such as performance, music studio, laboratory, or writing. Art studio classes may be audited only with the express permission of the Art Department chairperson. (Dominican University of California 2006-2008 Undergraduate & Graduate Catalog, p.57)
