Bryce Bludevich, M.D.'17 was a dedicated member of the Larner College of Medicine community, both as a student and as an alumna. Born and raised in Vermont, Bryce benefited from scholarship support when she attended the Larner College of Medicine, and her family wishes to pay that support forward in her memory.
One of the happiest days of Bryce’s life was when she was admitted to University of Vermont College of Medicine (Larner College of Medicine). While at UVM LCOM, Bryce was more than just a student, actively participating in her class and other COM activities and serving as a 2017 Class Agent when she graduated. She also continued her voracious interest in all things international by participating in the UVM LCOM Global Health Initiative with study and service in Russia and Uganda.
Match Day revealed her next stop as a surgical resident at University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA where she again made her mark. In addition to the grueling medical residency schedule, she found time to cultivate beautiful friendships with her co-residents, bake cookies and brownies for her co-workers, work on forming a residents’ labor union, assist with the recruitment of new surgical residents and help to improve the orientation/transition for new residents as well as fight her own courageous battle with melanoma. While her last three years were spent in research, she was eager to return to the hospital July 2022 to complete her surgical residency.
It was always Bryce's goal to return to the UVM Medical Center post residency and help fellow Vermonters like herself.
Gifts made on this page contribute to the Bryce Bludevich Memorial Fund at the Larner College of Medicine, created by her family to ensure that Bryce's memory lives on at the College by supporting the next generation of LCOM students.
