Coach Dick Fadgen became a swimming legend at North Carolina State University in the 1950s where he won seven NCAA and U.S. National championship titles. In 1970, Coach Dick Fadgen founded the Memphis State University Swim Club which later became Memphis Tiger Swimming.He quietly helped a generation of swimmers blossom because of his tremendous love of swimming and belief in what the sport teaches. Under his leadership, Memphis Tiger Swimming produced national champions, dozens of college athletes, a handful of Olympians and many former swimmers who followed him into the coaching ranks.
