The UAB Medicine Comprehensive Transplant Institute's Patient Assistance Fund provides critical support for transplant candidates, recipients, living donors, and their families. Many transplant-related expenses, such as prescriptions, medical supplies, transportation, and lodging, are not fully covered by insurance. This places additional stress on those already facing a challenging journey.
