Application Guidelines:

  • THERE ARE NO CHANGES ALLOWED TO THIS SUBMISSION AFTER THE APPLICATION DEADLINE. 
  • Applications are due via online form below by September 24 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Absolutely no late applications will be accepted.
  • Space is limited, and slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Political campaigns are only allowed one entry per campaign.
  • Applying does not guarantee you a spot. The OSU Alumni Association reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant for any reason.
  • Accepted applicants will receive written confirmation after the deadline if their application has been accepted.
  • The Sea of Orange Homecoming Parade safety meeting will be held on October 7 at 8 p.m. at ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.
  • The safety meeting is mandatory for every entry. The representative in attendance for each entry must be a participant in the parade.

Technical Description

Please provide a detailed description of your parade entry to assist Fire Safety and the Homecoming Steering Committee in ensuring qualified entrants and determining the parade line-up.  Please include dimensions of your entry as well as if you are pulling a trailer, what type hitch you are using and length.

Semi-trucks are strongly discouraged as vehicles in the parade. However, any semi-truck/trailer that is entered in the parade, must be completely and professionally/commercially branded with the OSU, Oklahoma State University, or Pistol Pete logos.

Due to safety concerns, the OSU Alumni Association and the City of Stillwater ask a single parade entry not contain more than 25 horses (includes individual horses, coaches, wagons, etc.) or more than 25 motorcycles (includes 2-wheel motorcycles, trikes, etc.).

The OSU Alumni Association and the City of Stillwater also ask that no materials, besides candy, be given to spectators of the parade. This includes, but is not limited to flyers, balls, beads, or any other promotional products. No candy will be thrown in the parade – only handed to spectators.

Please provide a detailed description of your parade entry. The description can include facts about your float (construction hours, materials), information about a band (band director, band leader, members) and information about your organization.
