Glen Brandenburg Sustainability Endowed Scholarship

For over 50 years, Glen Brandenburg advanced sustainability, safety and organizational excellence through his roles at Associated Students of SDSU, most recently as the Director of Facilities & Sustainability and earlier as the Director/Cofounder of the Mission Bay Aquatic Center.

Thanks to Glen's tireless dedication to campus sustainability, he and the hundreds of student leaders he mentored were able to install 1.75 megawatts (1,750 kW) of on-site solar power, champion the design, construction, and operation of two LEED Double-Platinum buildings, sustainably upgrade all A.S. facilities and certify them LEED Existing Building Gold and Platinum, educate thousands of SDSU community members through the monthly Green Lunch Bag Series, and establish the A.S. Food Pantry. Glen has inspired and mentored countless students and staff over the decades, and his body of work has generated a butterfly effect of positive change that will continue to thrive in the future.

This scholarship will award students for their outstanding dedication to advancing sustainability at San Diego State University.
